BILLIARDS LEAGUE SUPPLEMENTARY RULES
This league will be called the Huddersfield Billiards and Snooker
Association Open Billiards League.
Each team will consist of three players, with three games of 200 up to
be played. All players will be handicapped, and one league point will be
awarded for each game won.
a) All games to be played on a Tuesday commencing at 19.00. If one team is
not represented by 19.15 the team that is represented may claim the first game.
Subsequent games may be claimed after further 15 minute intervals.
The Executive expect that ALL matches should be played on the original date but understand that on occasions such as funerals, there may be a reason for delay.
Any match not being played on the allocated date should be notified immediately to the League Reporting Secretary. Any such match should then be played NO LATER than 4 weeks after the original programmed date, save that ALL matches delayed should be completed BEFORE the programmed last match of the season.
The League Reporting Secretary should also be notified immediately the new date is arranged.
At the discretion of the Executive, failure to action such situations that might occur, and failure to keep the League Reporting Secretary informed, will result in a £5 fine for each team involved and/or the match being allocated a 0-0 scoreline in the League Tables.
Results must be received by the League Reporting Secretary no later than
the following Thursday by clubs using the website email result system and no
later than the following Saturday by teams posting the result card. In both
cases it is the HOME team who are responsible for notifying the result to the
League Reporting Secretary. A fine of £3.00 will be levied for late, incomplete
or incorrect cards. (See also League Rule 10 regarding payment of fines.)
League will continue to issue some result cards but cease to provide
FREEPOST envelopes. Further results cards are available for download
from the website. The address of the League Reporting Secretary is shown in the
handbook and for any HOME club who does not use the website result service it
will be their responsibility to post the result card at their own expense.

result card, no change to present system, but each team keeps their own card.
The HOME team is responsible for entering the result on the website. In the
event of a dispute each team should have their result card as evidence to
produce at the next Delegates Meeting; No card - no dispute.
Any team that cannot complete all three games through absence of players
will be fined £3.00 for each player absent (£10.00 for full teams, league rule
7a.) Games not played through absence will be counted as lost.
The league will consist of one section, with teams playing each other
home and away. The team finishing top of the section will receive the 'H.
Wilkinson trophy', runner up to receive the 'Frank Hallam Rose bowl'.
The team with the best playing record over the last six matches as
detailed in the fixture list, will receive the 'Norman Hargreaves trophy' and
prizes, Teams finishing in league play-off positions are not eligible for this
